We source a select amount of timber through reputable sawmills who purchase from CE certified, sustainable French forests. Some of our boards wait years to mature, and some wait decades in another home — which is why our bespoke flooring boards are highly sought after.

We are so impressed with the service, price & product knowledge that Alan provided us for our project……not to mention the fabulous back story on the beautiful sustainable French Oak! From a French mill to our project in Christchurch, amazing! He even honoured his original quote despite his rising shipping costs. Thank you so much.
We had Foret supply and install a solid French oak timber floor in our Auckland penthouse apartment in early 2022. Sound mitigation requirements meant the laying of an acoustic underlay between the concrete slab and timber floor which added a degree of complexity to the entire installation process. Alan and his installers managed the whole process brilliantly and their ability to provide a custom colour match has left us with a finished product that we are truly thrilled with. The richness and quality of the actual French oak timber has really lifted the sense of luxury in our main living areas.
Each piece of timber we take or rescue from a previous life forms part of our rich tapestry.
Like our timber, we too have a story, one both old and new.
We are importers and distributers of sustainably harvested French oak and reclaimed timber, having spent years uncovering the history of a bygone era.

Our timber is our history.
Sourced from reputable suppliers who carefully regrow what they cut, there’s a limit to the amount of French oak we can supply. And that will never change. We're also committed to recycling our solid French oak flooring offcuts, using this timber in the manufacturing of our parquet furniture. That's because we don't believe in wasting a commodity so precious.
Acquired under the European Union and PEFC guidelines, all our products are CE certified, E1 emission class, and DDT treated to prevent woodworm infections.
